Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society

The Syracuse University chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society recognizes part-time, undergraduate students that, after completing 24 graded semester hours, represent the top ten percent of their class. Students must also possess a minimum grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.

Alpha Sigma Lambda is the nation’s largest and oldest chapter-based honor society for nontraditional students, with nearly 300 chapters. Founded in 1945-46, its name means “first in scholarship and leadership.” Officers for SU’s Beta Delta chapter are Cynthia Lange, president; Nancy Corgel, vice president; Kay Hakes, treasurer; and Christina Casella, secretary.
